Professore Associato, Ingegneria Meccanica e del Veicolo
Università di Padova
Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale
Interessi e ambiti di ricerca
He received the M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering in 2010 (University of Pisa and Sant’Anna University), and the Ph.D. degree in robotics in 2013 (Sant’Anna University). In 2015-16, he was a Research Fellow at the University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K. His research focused on vehicle dynamics and control with experiments on a fully electric vehicle demonstrator.
In 2016-2021 he was a Senior Lecturer in Automotive Engineering with Sheffield Hallam University. While carrying on his research on torque vectoring, he also worked on state estimators.
In 2021 he joined the University of Padova as a recipient of the Italian brain-(re)gain program “Rita Levi Montalcini”. In 2021-22 he was a visiting professor at Stanford University (USA) – within the prestigious “Fulbright” program – where he implemented and experimentally tested torque vectoring techniques for autonomous drifting on a modified 1981 DeLorean.
He was also Visiting Researcher at several institutions including École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, Paris (France), University of Delaware (USA), Columbia University, New York (USA), the German Aerospace Center DLR (Germany), Politecnico di Torino (Italy).
