For the sixth time, the German-Italian Young Leaders Dialogue – Spinelli Forum 2026 offers the next generation of German and Italian future leaders a unique opportunity to work on current challenges in different European policy sectors and discuss the respective role of the German-Italian partnership in them. The Spinelli Forum is a joint initiative by the Federal Foreign Office in Germany and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in partnership with the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) and the German Institut für Europäische Politik (IEP).

We welcome applications from young professionals aged 25–35 with demonstrated interest or expertise in European affairs. Applicants from Germany and Italy working in politics, business, academia, civil society, media, and culture are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to strong applicants aged 25 to 30.

The Spinelli Forum 2026 consists of three digital workshops and a final conference, which will be held in Milan on 04-06 May 2026 in synergy with the “NEXT – Empowering Future Leaders” initiative, promoted by ISPI, Bocconi University and the OECD. Following the final conference, participants will have the chance to discuss their policy recommendations with Italian and German policy makers during two virtual strategy sessions (scheduled for May/June 2026).
